Egg on car

For a while now I have had a bit of egg on my car and didnt notice it. It has basicly baked onto the paint and is a b**ch to get out. I have tried quite a few things but it dosent want to move. Anyone know of anything that can get it off?

put some gas on a rag and that might take it off. if you've gotten it off, wash your car and wax the area.

got to watch out if u use fuel may cause damge to the paint work. normaly u should wipe it of with warm water and a sponge as soon as ur car gets egged.

you probably won't get it off without messing up your paint. my suggestion is to get a wet rag and soap and use some elbow grease. you might be able to save the paint. gas and other powerful chemicals will almost assuredly ruin your paint.

if you dont want to go the gas on a rag approach, get a clay bar and use it when you wash your car and the car is still soapy. with a lil elbow grease, the clay bar should be able to remove it. wax the area when you're done.

Egg (after a while) will completely feck up the paint it is on. get it off with paint thinner, and use the touch-up paint that came with the car to fix it.

acetone is a bit weaker than gas, try that on a rag. also some steel wool should help you get it off if you're careful about the paint

Try a week rubbing compound first. If that doesn't work, try acetone or something. To see if it's going to make a noticable area where you rub it, try a corner of your bumper or something.

I imagine that you'll have to use touch up paint since you left the egg on there for a while. Best of luck though.

What he said. The claybar is by far the best bet, especially if your at all concerned about your paint. It'll do wonders for baked on crap like dried egg, old tree sap and such.

Try finding a guy with a Toyota.. they come with a sealant cleaner package, and its mostly for final touching, but its based on a petroleum base, so it might remove some of that mess...
