That is sad news indeed. I have nothing but positive memories of his work. Very few actors are recognisable just by hearing their voice.

May he rest in peace.

His first role was as a bombardier in Stanley Kubrick's Doctor Strangekove (1964).

There are no words to describe how his voice as Darth Vader affected my seven-year-old psyche.  May the Force always be with him.

Extremely sad news, the man was a legend. While he will always be remembered as the voice of Darth Vader, his role as Thulsa Doom in Conan will always be my favourite.

Man,  James Earl Jones - what a legend. Only know him a few movies, but my favourites are from the Lion King (the disney cartoon version) and Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner.
