The World's Smallest Notebook Computer

It is no more called laptop again, because it will no longer be put on your laptop. Paul G. Allen, one of the founders of Microsoft, announced last week in Seattle that his company, Vulcan Inc. , which is developing new mobile gear in US, will offer a palm-sized notebook computer, FlipStart Mini PC which can run WinXP in DEMOmobile Expo this year.

I wonder if it has a Pentium-M or a C3 processor.

I am guessing its a Transmeta Proc. Only thing still at 1 G.

Also, I think some are missing the point of this device. ITs the bridge between PDA's that are too limited and Notebooks that are too cumbursome. This is perfect for a LOT of businesses. The screen is perfectly big enough to run most office based apps (read office, mail, web, etc). The graphics card is powerful enough to run Power Point presentations, etc.

THis is not meant to be a gaming device, if thats what you want, go get a GBASP or wait for the PSP.

besides....

not even easy to use, simply uncomfortable

um believe it or not humans have this great ability to adjust (you should see some of the kids type on their cell's @ school). Not everythign has to be tailor made. You can always get used to something and will eventually become comfortable with it.
