Moved all my PCs to KDE. KDE is and feels better than gnome now.

Good for you. I moved from XFCE to KDE. And never looked back. There's several DEs based off GNOME, but nothing is based off KDE. Why they are so polished.

I disagree, KDE feels like it's 1995 all over again still for me.  It's a personal preference: I just like the way GNOME flows and how basic it is.  KDE over complicates things IMO.  Glad you like it though! Looks great!

You can theme KDE the same way you can GNOME. I don't really see the difference here.

You might be right in your comment looking at how I themed my KDE. Somehow windows got this right in the 95/NT/2000 era, squared, easy to see buttons and overall layout. Antiquated? yes, fully functional, hell yeah.

The guy that maintains it has put a LOT of time into it and it's VERY good right now!  It just works, so I am not fighting the machine when I need to do what I need to do, I can just relax and enjoy computing and not worry about stuff not working.  That and he has a discord now where he will fully supports his users.

PopOS with the Fluent theme, Dash to Panel and ArcMenu GNOME extensions.

p330-tiny-popos.thumb.jpg.01df5590f90c670b607f65df34a91067.jpg

This is my first attempt at a Linux desktop, the goal is to see if I could set something up I'd be happy to use daily.

Oh, interesting! I started playing around with a top bar the other day but something seemed a little off. Looking at the screenshot you provided has made me realise where I might be going wrong, thanks!
