Mr. Fishy?

Recommended Posts

I can't get this out of my brain, can anyone decipher this? I had a little nap this after noon, and I was dreaming:

One day I was walking home from work (I think it was from WalMart)

So I went out the back way, seeing that the front of the store was blocked off by something.

So I walk to the outside front of the store, and see heavy smoke, couldn't see anything. And I noticed it was getting hotter the further I walked into it. So I had a folder in hand, I used that to sheer off the heat on my face.

Then I just walked into a regular quiet neighborhood.

There was a subway there, so I went down to it, and the TV down there was blasting about Mr Fishy blowing up Walmart.

Then I see a bunch of kids on a little train. And they said that Mr. Fishy was their big man. (like the same reference as an Elf to Santa)

And that's when I woke up. And went, who is Mr. Fishy...

I'm no therapist, but...

Mr. Fishy is an obstacle you don't want to confront or an aspiration.

It's perhaps a cliche answer, but it's cliche for a reason.

Think about it from the description you just gave:

- You thought the front was blocked. It's an obstacle in your path.
- You choose to take the back rather than deal with the front.
- You still went towards the front with all of the smoke, but you don't remember what happened then.
- You find yourself in a quiet neighbourhood where you were able to sit down and hear about what Mr. Fishy had done.
- They talk about Mr. Fishy as "their guy." Perhaps your aspirations? Aspirations are always something to have, and occasionally things we shy away from?

Damned if I know. Like I said, I'm not a therapist.

I've been having some weird dreams recently, and as much as I don't believe in this stuff 100% I have found it fascinating to sit down and try to evaluate what I've gone through in the dreams. Some of it is easy, like dreaming of locations. Obviously that is because they were locations I grew up in and miss. The situations that occur though...I sometimes find myself thinking, "but why? what could that possibly mean?"

I have problems all the time. So it's not just like sudden.

I have weird dreams sometimes. And some are repetitive.

Everyone dreams. That's normal. And dreams can be weird. Again, normal.

Recurring signs in dreams are interesting though. For example, a recurring theme that I have is the inability or struggle to run or walk (I'm mobile IRL, no issues). It could be trying to get away from something, it could be trying to get from A -> B. It's never a fun feeling.

I seem to have these particular dreams when I'm feeling helpless on a situation. The situation differs, but the dream manifests itself the same way - a lack of mobility, a lack of being able to do something, and a dread of what I'm trying to escape.

No one can explain your dreams to you. I can't tell you who Mr. Fishy is or what he stands for (if anything). The best I can offer is my above suggestion for the moment. Sometimes a dream is just a dream, no hidden meaning and no meaning at all.

No, but it's always amusing when you hear, "Maybe you're thinking of XYZ"

I never heard of Mr Fishy or what it implies. Could be completely nothing.

I always get reoccurring dreams either:

1. I'm in a mall. I had several dreams about it. In different scenarios.

2. I always get the feeling that I can't walk forward very fast, but when I walk backwards, it's like I can run..
