I refunded my Swiffer Go-Cart to Target. It just wasn't for me. Biggest issues was getting out of it, being so low to the ground. Took me 10 minutes trying to get out of it.

But, now I am talking to Micro Kickboard, and they suggested me the Micro Rocket Scooter

It looks rather good. As the extra wide wheels. I read around, and a lot of people say it helps with balance. From a 9yo to a old guy in his 60s, both say it's easier to ride and with balance.

I thought that might be an issue when I was reading through the options being discussed.

I recently got the Riley RS2 (I think it's the RS2, but it might be a variation of it). I've only used it a handful of times so far - I originally bought it because a friend was selling it pretty cheap and I thought it would be handy for when I get my shop up and running - but it's pretty cool. Like the Micro Rocket, the large wheels really help maintain balance on the lowest speed setting. I'll be honest though, I tried the higher speed settings and felt like I should be wearing a helmet and pads; It's an accident waiting to happen.

With balance being an issue, have you considered a 4-wheel electric scooter? Not necessarily a mobility scooter, just something with 4 wheels? That said, I just took a quick look and the first option that looked pretty cool was this. But at £7000+ it's certainly out of my price range!

I have been looking at these variants, but I think I said this enough in here. I don't want an electric variant. I want to be able to exercise, not sit on a "car" and vroom vroom.

Anyway, It's TOO expensive for me. I've seen scooters like that on Amazon, and they are around that price.

It's good to have options though, being able to exercise with it like you want and to also use it in electric mode(sparingly) is a no brainer to me, for example let's say you wanted to go somewhere that was 5 miles each way and you hurt yourself during the trip or found you struggled so you then had a choice to use the motor.

 

I'm definitely not saying you would use it often but surely options are good?

Do tell me, how can I exercise with a sitting down scooter?

You don't sit down! It's the same as any other 2 wheeled scooter that has been linked to without a seat, but some have a battery but it doesn't mean you use the battery you can still use your leg to move meaning you have options.

Nick even linked to one I'm talking about but there are many others like that even with wide wheels.

You're not following the thread properly, you already discounted that and said you didn't want a seat. All my other posts are talking about ones without seats with also an option for power, you can still not use the power.

It doesn't have to be same same make and model what about some of these at best buy? I know you don't want Electric but you don't need to use it, but options are great.

Is there a reason that, as someone reaching out for help and also a moderator, you're reacting with such an obvious attitude problem?  There's an ongoing trend in this thread of people trying to help you, and you responses being both childish and almost aggressive.  Other threads, I've seen none of this.  Are you feeling vulnerable or attacked here?  Not sure why, it's just people trying to help you!

I just have been asking this for about 2 years now, and I posted in several places, forums, reddit, etc. and no one is helping me. Answers are very low with people that understand my needs. I'm at my wits end here..

I've think ive given good answers here as well as Nik, you have stated you don't want to sit down and we now understand that, what I don't understand is why you haven't given feed back from the best buy link I posted as those scooters look ideal for you, whether it's electric or not the profile is really good. Then you go and post something where you sit down lol.

That was never my intent, but if I make it sound that way, I apologize.

 

Anyway, I have ordered the Micro Rocket as I thought it would help me with balance. Having fatter wheels than normal. And the staff at Micro thought it would be best for me. Giving my circumstances.

But, I have been trying this out for a week, and I could never get the hang of it. I think the problem is that when I kick off with my left leg, my right leg sort of, idk how to explain. Like, shifts to the opposite side. Hence, my balance is way more off than I realized. I am now in the middle of refunding it, because it isn't for me.

(since this is technically on the same subject)

I have been looking at tricycles, but all of them look like for an 80yo guy.

I did look up Recumbent Trikes, but they might not work for me. Being I have trouble on our exercise bike. (that have similar proportions)

I then bumped into something I never realized. Handcycles.

I know there's like 100 different type/designs, and each has their own uses. But, would something like this help? I mean 0% balance issues.

Mnm. There's a store close to me that deal with bikes, trikes, and handcycles.

Edit: In case they do not deal with this, I am sure they can point me in the correct direction
