Question

good day dear friends on Neowin, 🤩
i am currently working on a new WP-project: The actual question is: can we import yt-clips easily in WordPress - with out the use of any plugin!?`
well i thought that we re able to use the default Gutenberg editor supports YouTube URLs. We do not need any plugin here. So far so good.
the downside: It seems so that it doesn't download and host the YT-Clips on the site though, it just embeds them on the post/page.
Some friends mentioned that we re able to use the default Gutenberg RSS block. And the block is able to embed an RSS feed for someone's YouTube channel, up to 20 different videos.
We should be able to display the author, date and excerpt.
Well i think: What is a pity: There seems to be no option for displaying the YouTube thumbnails though. What do you think.
The display of a Thumbnail is important to me...
Look forward to hear from you
regards 🤩
