Shortcut for desktop

Hi,

 

I am trying to create a shortcut icon for my desktop by using right click on my desktop>new>shortcut and using edge for the browser to a certain site but I am not sure how to do it. Can someone help me out with the correct syntax plz.

Alternative method - Click the three dots on the titlebar -> Apps -> Install this site as an app. It's essientally a shortcut to the website which you can pin the website on your taskbar or have as an icon on your desktop

Try this:

• Right-click your desktop and select New > Shortcut.
• In the location field, enter the full path to Edge’s executable followed by the website URL. For example:
  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" your site. 
• Click Next, give your shortcut a name, and click Finish.
