Waking up this morning to sad news.

The legendary Loretta Swit has passed away due to natural causes aged 87.

My late mum and I absolutely loved M*A*S*H and I shed a tear or two when its final show was aired.

RIP Loretta. You gave me memories of time spent with my mum that will last until my time arrives.

Sad to hear.  That was a good show.  A few actors are left on that series that I watched as a kid.

M.A.S.H. was the ultimate all-time TV show... many have tried to live up to their standards, arguably some came close.

Only Capt Pierce, Sgt Klinger and Cpl O'Reilly remain with us.

Sgt Klinger just sounds wrong. I know he made sergeant before end of show, but will always know him as Corporal Klinger.

Very sad to hear of Loretta's passing. She definitely helped make the show what it was.

IMHO, her best scenes were the few where she dared to let her REAL feminine side show through from underneath all that crappy, worn-torn soldier facade that she had to keep up with...she instantly lit up every room or situation where she was featured !

How did I miss this news? I only know her from 3 things, the main one being "M*A*S*H," then "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," and "Miracle at Moreaux."
