I run a server at home (OK, a few but for this discussion just the one). It's running Windows, as are my client desktops, so I just RDP in, job done.
However, I find myself living in another (trusted) location a lot currently and would like to remotely access it. My brain keeps going to something like TeamViewer or LogMeIn, but I am aware that my thinking here is based around maybe decade-old knowledge.
Is there something newer/better I should consider using for this task?
I hate Slack, but Teams is much worse - maybe they've already optimized it, but it was a huge slog the last time I've checked about half a year ago. I miss my Skype.
