Hey everyone!

Just curious what your favorite browser is and why?

Personally, I prefer using Chrome because it is simple and smooth to use. :)

Would love to hear what everyone else is using and if there's something better I should try!

I prefer MS Edge Browser,  i used the Previous version of Edge when first released, and previously Internet Explorer from the very early days til it was replaced with Edge

Never got into Chrome myself,  felt IE & Later Edge was just fine for my needs, as didn't really feel like installing another browser in other to surf the web.

** Though in 1998 i did try Netscape Navigator a little bit, but then i went back to Internet Explorer in about 1 month back then**

Personally I use Chrome however I have Edge and Firefox installed as I inherently still test my websites in multiple browsers thanks to the IE era...

I prefer FireFox, and I use a lot of browsers based off it. As Floorp, WaterFox, and Zen browser

Main thing, I can us uBlock Orgin.

I use Floorp as my daily driver, and run certain things just off my FireFox.

Firefox, for privacy, wide range of plugins without having to suffer the latest Google manifest restrictions and when used on Android for the mobile browser plugins like an ad-blocker, sadly that option isn't available to me now I've swapped to iOS as outside of the EU Firefox mobile is just a reskin of Safari :(

I use Firefox for all the reasons already mentioned above and I also use Edge mainly because I like the snappiness of it. It does seem snappier then Firefox to me. I figure I might as well have 1 of each type browser engine. I probably won't use Edge as much once they follow in Googles footsteps of killing my ad blocker.

I play around with several other browsers usually when I see an updated story on them here just to see if they can persuade me to stick with them, but they usually don't.

Have never figured out what it is about Google Chrome that makes others like it so much? Heck, it isn't even smart enough to give you an option to alphabetize your bookmarks!

Thanks for sharing! That’s really cool, sounds like you’ve been on the web since the early days. :)

I’ve only ever used Internet Explorer briefly when I was younger, but I get what you mean about sticking with what works.

Also, Netscape Navigator! That’s a classic, never got to try it myself, but I’ve read a bit about it.

Microsoft Edge

It works as expected, and I see no reason to use another browser.

Thanks for sharing! Microsoft Edge is a definitely solid browser; it runs smoothly and gets the job done. I can see why you stick with it.

Awesome man, thanks for sharing! I do the same thing, too. I mainly use Chrome, but I keep Edge and Firefox around for testing websites.

Firefox, because of its customizable, its privacy and they are the only real alternative over chrome and its clones

Thanks for sharing! Yeah, Firefox definitely stands out when it comes to privacy and customization. Do you use any specific privacy extensions or settings with it?

Thanks for sharing! I haven't tried Floorp or WaterFox yet, but I've heard of them. Sounds like a cool setup. I also really like uBlock Origin, it's super effective. What do you like most about Floorp as your daily driver?

Vivaldi, spiritual fork of the original opera browser, highly configurable

Thanks for sharing! I’ve heard great things about Vivaldi being super customizable. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but it sounds perfect for people who love tweaking their browser experience. Do you use any cool features or extensions that make it stand out?

Thanks for sharing! Firefox is a really great browser with high security and customizable plugins, especially on Android. Sadly, the mobile version on IOS is more limited, but hopefully they’ll improve it soon!

Speed dial, opera created it and both opera and Vivaldi are the only ones who get it right. Built in ad blocking and tracking blocking is handy.  Recently an update gave us in built VPN, also handy. I've a self hosted search engine that can be set as default. Syncs perfectly with the android app. Also because it's Chromium you can use all the chrome extensions.

I use both Chrome and Brave simultaneously. Chrome for general browsing, while I keep Brave windows open on other monitors for X, Bluesky, YouTube, and a live news channel like CNN etc..

Thanks for sharing! Using Chrome for general browsing and keeping Brave windows open to monitor other things is a smart setup, since Chrome tends to use more RAM than Brave.

Floorp? OOTB (out of the box) has quiet tabs. If they aren't loaded or in focus after X minutes, they are shut down, (not shut down as in disappear, it just stops rendering it)  saves RAM usage. Also it has the side bar, too.

Vivaldi for me, I like the look of the interface across desktop and mobile apps, it just works.

I wouldn't touch Chrome with a barge pole now and don't like the look of Firefox.

Thanks for sharing! Vivaldi does have a nice interface. I've heard good things about how well it works across devices. I get what you mean about Chrome and Firefox's looks; everyone has their own style and preferences when it comes to browsers. What's your favorite Vivaldi feature?

I use Firefox because I prefer to have native support for the uBlock Origin extension.  You can get it to work with Chrome-based browsers, but you have to jump through some hoops to make it work properly.  If you're not using uBlock Origin or your browser isn't allowing you to use it properly, you'd be shocked at how many extras it kills on basic web pages like Yahoo.

Microsoft Edge.

The vertical tabs are a must have feature for me.

Thank you for sharing! Microsoft Edge is an excellent browser. I really like how the vertical tabs make everything easier to manage.
