goretsky Supervisor Posted June 25, 2025 Supervisor Share Posted June 25, 2025 Hello, Horizon Data Systems, the developer, has been around for 27 years. I do not recall hearing anything bad about them, but I also haven't used their software, either. Som
I can't believe someone actually used Norton go back. My memory of that is crapware preinstalled in OEM pcs that was usually removed soon after first boot Jose_49, cork1958 and +Nik Louch 2 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1456082-is-rollback-rx-pro-safe/#findComment-598996693 Share on other sites

Arguably, the whole AV market got a bad name with end consumers for a period because of companies such as Norton. goretsky 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1456082-is-rollback-rx-pro-safe/#findComment-598996811 Share on other sites

The only computer that I've come across that had both an antivirus and got infected by one of those devastating encryption viruses and McAfee installed. Total piece of crap. +Nik Louch and goretsky 2 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1456082-is-rollback-rx-pro-safe/#findComment-598996936 Share on other sites
OliviaCoop
I've been using it for years without any problems, because RollBack Rx Pro works great as a replacement for GoBack. You just have to make sure you're using the latest version for your build of Windows. But still keep a separate backup. Since snapshots are not a complete replacement for regular backups. xrobwx71 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1456082-is-rollback-rx-pro-safe/#findComment-599025451 Share on other sites
DJ-Light
It still works on Windows 10 and 11 and creates a full disk image. I've used it many times and the restore process is always successful. The advantage is that it's integrated into Windows; you don't need any other program. Just select create system image. Accuphase
I trust it more than System Restore, which shouldn’t really be trusted at all. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1456082-is-rollback-rx-pro-safe/#findComment-599025715 Share on other sites
Longboard
If still interested.. Wilders pulled it apart over the years https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/rollback-rx-the-unofishul-faq.374977/ Macrium, Terabyte, or Hasleo are better bets. Wilders has a whole subforum for backups: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/forums/backup-imaging-disk-mgmt.97/ goretsky 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1456082-is-rollback-rx-pro-safe/#findComment-599027134 Share on other sites
