Nest Protect needs replacing, but with what?

My Nest Protect (smoke and CO2) two of them are now ten years old, and I have been getting alerts to replace them but it seems like Nest no longer offers these Protect devices.

Anyone here had any experience on replacement? I also have the 3rd gen Nest Thermostat connected to my Nefit central heating, which is still supported through the Nest app.

Seriously f.... Google and its continuous dropping support for everything! I can appreciate the Protects expiring after ten years, but now I will be forced to buy into some other ecosystem?

One of mine is due for replacement soon, I just replaced one earlier this year before the discontinuation announcement... 

 

Also, just like you, I got Nest when it was still nest........
