Nick H. Supervisor Posted November 1, 2025 Supervisor Share Posted November 1, 2025 This is going to seem annoying, but where are your backups? Can you not restore the system and put the data back? +Nik Louch 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1460773-i-can-not-get-back-in-to-windows-11/#findComment-599024605 Share on other sites

As much as I got out of what he wrote, which wasn't much as it made my head hurt, it sounded like he didn't really care about any data, just wants a factory fresh install of windows. *Shrug* +Nik Louch 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1460773-i-can-not-get-back-in-to-windows-11/#findComment-599024614 Share on other sites
+Raphaël G. MVC Posted November 1, 2025 MVC Share Posted November 1, 2025 Sorry, I had to Chatgpt your post for readability before understanding your question completely. Please use punctuation pretty please. Thanks. As for anwsering your question: yes, a full reset should reset your PC to how it was when you opened the box. --- Post improved for readability --- I did a reboot, but this time Windows won’t let me back into Windows 11 Home. Now a blue page pops up saying Advanced Settings. I’ve tried them all, but I haven’t tried wiping my hard drive clean yet. All I need to know is this: will that set my PC up like it was when I first got it — with Windows and all the drivers that came with the PC out of the box? If it does, then I’ll do that, but I don’t know if it will. Can anyone please help me? I have a Stormforce gaming PC. I’ve tried resetting it with “Keep my apps and settings,” but that doesn’t work. My last hope is a full reset — but will it be like it was when I opened the box and started the PC for the first time? If it will, I’ll do that. Can someone please help me? I have Windows 11 Home on a Stormforce PC. +Warwagon 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1460773-i-can-not-get-back-in-to-windows-11/#findComment-599024624 Share on other sites
Steven P. Administrators Posted November 2, 2025 Administrators Share Posted November 2, 2025 When you reboot a few times to a blue screen a 3rd or 4th time should take you to Windows Recovery so you can try repair options, or as you suggested even be able to Reset the PC and reinstall Windows 11. If you are not getting it, turn off the PC and follow the instructions below (for Windows 11 Home) Forcing recovery during boot Turn on your PC. As soon as the Windows logo appears, press and hold the power button to force a shutdown. Repeat this process two or three times. Windows will automatically launch the recovery environment (WinRE) on the next startup. Then you can attempt Repair, or Reset the PC and start over. jollybgood
You can fix the issue by doing a full reset and choosing Remove everything. This will reinstall Windows 11 and your PC just as new. All built-in drivers and default settings will come back automatically.
