How stream from Mac to Smart TV?

Hey everyone,

I recently got a new Smart TV, and I want to stream content directly from my Mac, but I’m running into issues. Has anyone successfully streamed from a Mac to a Smart TV?

You haven't mentioned the TV model or your Mac model. That would be helpful to troubleshoot the situation.

I'm assuming that AirPlay isn't working between the devices?

What about just putting a HDMI cable between the two?

Or use one of the many streaming softwares, plex, emby, jellyfin.

I have been using plex for over a decade.. Plex Server runs on MacoS 10.13 or higher

I have Sony Bravia TV and MacBook Air M1
Yeah, AirPlay isn't working for me.
By the way, I haven't tried the HDMI cable. Thanks!

I use Elmedia and just stream all my videos and movies to my Smart TV using AirPlay. Maybe that will work for you, too. I found this article https://www.elmedia-video-player.com/stream-mac-to-tv/
You can also try Plex, it does pretty much the same thing.
