Recommendations? Small Color Laser Printer

Recommended Posts

My mum runs an HP Deskjet and I've never seen anyone plough through cartridges like she does.  Either she prints loads, or then none and they dry up and need replacing.  Also the paper feed on it is abysmal.

I want to get her a small footprint, colour, laser printer.  So I guess I'm asking for recommendations.  I have an HP Color Laser 150nw and it has served me very well, but I believe it's out of production now - so really that's the sort of thing I'm looking for.  Reliability is a thing because I can't be doing a 150 mile round trip to go and unblock a paper jam.

Thanks

OK, weird - it's NOT out of production.  I could have sworn...

If you still want to go HP, there's not really any small footprint options with laserprinters. Theyre all pretty much the same size-wise. Now, Brother has a few options, which would be my second choice.

Does she need USB, Wi-fi or Ethernet?

You can always use toners at eBay. I have done this a while ago.

The one mentioned is small footprint - and it seems still available.

Brother are not too bad in fairness, and yeah wireless.  I absolutely always buy 3rd party toners and have NEVER had an issue so yeah agreed.

If she prints occasionally, something compact and print‑only like the Brother HL‑L3220CDW or Canon LBP646Cdw works really well. They’re straightforward, reliable, and won’t sit there drying out like inkjets do.

Duplex too, nice!
