Hey raptor,

I'm working on slipstreaming the feb release and need to customize the DB using a non-XP machine. In the Jan release you had a sweet database editor for the .apdb file. I see now you've switched to a .db format. Did you leave the editor out of this release, or do you not have one?

Can't wait to get to work...

Actually he's working on a New Database Editor, we hope to have it all done for the March Release, so let's all cross our fingers! :)

I posted in the DL forum but I also wanted to post here..

Ok Guys..

I'm so sorry,

the correct path to get the file from my server is

www.jaguar1.usouthal.edu/patches/files/AutoPatcherXP_Feb_Patched.zip

I ziped it up but didn't make it an exe like I had in the previous link.

Once again I am sorry for any problems this might of caused.

If you still have the old file.. if you just change the extention to .zip from .exe it should all work fine.

I have already PM'd fish with the correct link.

Once again I'm sorry for the mix up

Heya Guys,

Quick question.

I just unpacked APXP Feb, downloaded the Feb updates, and placed them in the respective places overwriting the previous files. FINE.

Is there a way that I can close back up everything and make it back to a .exe file like what APXP originally came in?

Thanks,

LIVESOCA

you'll need an archiver for that... for instance 7zip... compress it and then use the "make exe" option of your archiver... all archivers have such feature...

/Raptor

Yep... here's the exact settings you'll want... it's what I use to make it each time. :)

TY for the screenshot.. :D

Gonna give 7Zip a shot. Can 7Zip be used for the exact same compression extensions like WinRar?

LIVESOCA

A few... you can set it for Tar, Zip... dunno what else. I think that's it.

For those who might want to do the same stuff I did (Install the Feb update into the Feb release and create a new .exe), I'll tell you the final results for compression between WinRar and 7-Zip.

WinRar was set to maximum compression and 7-Zip was set to ultra.

Final Output for 7-Zip = 241 MB

Final Output for WinRar = 249 MB

*** Please note both apps did the same job, but WinRar did it in half the time of 7-Zip ***

Sorry, I didn't clock it (time).

I assume everyone will get different results.

Tested on a laptop

AMD XP-M 2500+ 512kb cache (Barton Core) @ 1866Mhz (not overclocked) and set to High Performance Mode

512MB DDR Ram

My fave feature of 7zip is it's ability to extract files out of almost anything (MSI, whatever) just by right clicking.  (Y)

Great, I will play more with the program when I get home.

btw FlishFun: http://mirrors.madboot.com/ is down

#4th mirror from bottom to top under Direct Downloads for AutoPatcher XP 4.5 (Feb Update)

[edit]

http://addict3d.org/index.php?page=downloadfile&ID=615 (at the bottom of the page says Download this file), it takes you to http://mirrors.madboot.com/AutoPatcherXP_Feb04_Full.exe (Not Found)

    • Steam Next Fest returns with thousands of new demos to try out by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Valve has been routinely kicking off demo festivals on Steam for years now, and the second drop of 2026 has just opened its doors. It's a great opportunity for any PC gamers to find some interesting games before they release. The June edition of Steam Next Fest is a week-long digital festival including gameplay slices from a large number of indie developers, though a few major publishers are involved this time too. Interested players can use the Next Fest hub page's various sorting and filtering options to easily sort through the hordes of demos available. The top buttons offer quick access to separate and important sorting options, including "By Genre, By Theme, By Feature," with each one offering more granular settings when clicked. At the same time, the built-in Steam tags system is also available below every page to discover new games more quickly. As always, logging in will also enable Steam gamers to utilize Valve's recommendation algorithms to find game demos they might like, specifically, depending on their past play and purchase histories. This time there is even a toggle now to swap between getting a random and personalized selection as Valve collects more data on the available demos. The Charts section is where you can find the most popular demos on the platform right now, offering up the most hyped titles in a simple list. Right at the kickoff, Mistfall Hunter, Empulse, Echoes of Aincrad, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Over the Hill, Mortal Shell II, and more are trending. Expect this list to change as the week progresses. This edition of the Steam Next Fest is slated to end on June 22 at 10 AM PT. Valve's latest event is now open, and it can be accessed by going to the dedicated hub page here.
    • I lived and breathed MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger. Going to the mess.be website (still online with no changes since 2013) to download display pictures etc. I was a beta tester for Messenger Plus! and spent quite a lot of time on the MsgPlus! forums (a read-only copy is still online at https://shoutbox.menthix.net) Some old Neowin articles also https://www.neowin.net/news/messenger-plus-350/ good times but how time flies The main developer of Messenger Plus!, Cyril aka. Patchou has released a game https://store.steampowered.com/app/3275440/Pluralys/
    • Well i'll look into a docking station if needed and use that.    Normally i don't usually have all the drives connected at once,  usually once a month to sync the latest files, and then they go back in there storage area
