BinaryLogic
I’ve noticed that after a long day I don’t always feel like playing something super competitive or stressful. Lately I’ve been looking for PC games that are more relaxing - something you can play for an hour or two just to unwind. For me games like Stardew Valley or Euro Truck Simulator are pretty good for that kind of mood. What PC games do you usually play when you just want to relax? hellowalkman 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1464572-best-pc-games-to-relax-after-work/ Share on other sites

When I want to relax I have several go toos. I like Huntdown, even though it's action. But I beat the game a long time ago and unlocked the cheats and know all the levels. It gives me NES vibes, pop the cartridge in and play. But with the Switch just turn it on load the game and play. Just shoot up stuff and no stress about what's going to happen. My other go to chill games are Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. I've beaten both and found almosst everything. So I'll either play one of the saves that has everything or start a new game. But when I want to chill I'll just re-explore the worlds. Focus on gathering ingredients to make food. Just run around checking things out. I can burn an hour or two easily just checking out the Zelda worlds. +Eternal Tempest MVC Posted March 17 MVC Share Posted March 17 As long as your not neurodivergent where gambling mechanics are more effective on you, GATCHA games such as StarRail (RPG) or Endfiled (Action RPG + Factorio) doing the daylies (using the time regenerative limited "resource" needed to level gear / characters over days/weeks ) do it for me. Especially waiting for new story content to drop. Going to also vote up PowerWash Simulator, It's almost like meditation. Nergion
Age of Empires or Age of Kings (Definitive / Remastered editions) are always good to relax, especially in the early going when you're just starting to build up your town and exploring the map. Xenon
I would check out Sable. No combat, exploring and solving mysterious. The game world is unique as is the art style. One of the most chill games I have played. +primortal and margrave 2 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1464572-best-pc-games-to-relax-after-work/#findComment-599047519 Share on other sites

Nick H. Supervisor Posted March 20 Supervisor Share Posted March 20 Stardew Valley is definitely a cool one. Cities Skylines has a similar vibe for me, in that I can play for an hour to get the town set up, then I can just sit back and watch everyone get on with things while I listen to some music. And if I get bored or angry I can always decide to drop some comets down to see how it goes. Songs of Syx has a similar vibe in that it's quite hands-off once you get the town set up. You can just sit back and watch your citizens scurry around. EDIT: If you can get to the open-world part of RDR2, that's pretty cool too. I liked to jump in at the end of the day and go fishing, or maybe to the local saloon for a few hands of poker.
