Error 0x904 usually refers to a dodgy connection.

But a quick Google search indicates Error code 0x904 in Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) usually indicates a connection failure caused by an expired RDP self-signed certificate, unstable network/VPN, or incompatibility after a Windows update. Common solutions include regenerating the RDP certificate, checking network stability, updating the RDP client, or adjusting firewall settings.

A VPN might also be blocking it if you have not enabled "Allow LAN connections" on both sides.

It might be something with your firewall settings, since Windows Defender Firewall can sometimes block RDP connections.
Try allowing Remote Desktop through the firewall in your settings.
