I think that Invisonboard 2 is going to be really nice.. The problem I have had is I can't find a lot of features that are new or changed from 1 to 2... Does anyone know where I can find that?

Read this forum for all the features. :)

Just came across this :) ^^ Above, yep I'm developing SSIplus+ 3, the original plan was to get the IPB SDK to take over from SSIplus+ but it's a little complex for somethings ;) I am going to develop SSIplus+ 3 with Smarty, SDK, etc. usage.

I'm not a huge fan of IPB 2 myself - ACP is way bloated, there's the word "TRIAL" there at the bottom of the boards, which some people who are students like me simply can't afford to pay to remove. Every version IPB goes more paid, it's not as free as it was :) It's no longer free, it's a trial, then we had (U) in the copyright, not TRIAL. They keep reigniting the IPB is becoming too paid campaign every version.

Apart from that, may turn out to be a nice upgrade. Just waiting for the final release to see if we see the Skin Version Controller back they advertised so heavily during 1.3, and hopefully 2.0 becoming a little more developer friendly :)

Just to inform you all... We all know version two is near final release but, just to warn you all there are some major problems at the moment causing a nightmare of problems... I downloaded the Public Beta last night and although it installed OK the forum doesn?t work at all... loads of people are reporting different problems causing different problems...

The install says CHMOD all to 0777 including global.php (this does not work it only works if you CHMOD to 0666) people are getting error 400 and 500 Admin CP not working... loads of issue...

Don't worry all these issues will be resolved before the final release which I believe will be the end of April or half way through May... Might be closer if they work around the clock but, we shall all be patient and wait because IPB is the DB...:rolleyes:s:

I'm still converting to version 2.0 can not wait...

i will be converting to it once i updated my skin. i will be running it and skinning it in the background on a shared db (when the posts are added on my current forum they will also be added to the v2 forum) and skin/code it from there on.

I didn't have a problem with the install. My only problem is the Moderating Team link is busted and gives a mySQL error.

With our site reaching completion and the design of the site is complete and now we are testing our re-coding of Virtuanews and Invision Power Board... We have also been testing version 2.0 of IPB (not with Virtuanews because it does not work with this version...) Because we have been informed by Virtuanews this will not be compatible because of the complexity of the database how in version 2.0 of IPB, the only way I'm going to get around this with version 2.0 would be to get someone to totally rewrite the structure of the Virtuanews script to run in conjunction with version 2.0 of IPB...

Or just run two separate databases and link the login and forum to Virtuanews as a link exchange instead... other than that I know no other way...

The member's database is no more complex that it is in 1.3 - you just have to make sure of the converge module. I'll be writing a developers paper on how to use it in time for the final release of 2.0 so most developers should be able to make the needed adjustments to any integration bridges they have written.

I just read about converge and really impressed with this new application thanks Matt for the input and I shall speak to our developers about this...

I'm likely to move away from VN anyway because of the limitations, which are imposed on this software... I had to do so much hacking on this CMS portal it was ridicules just to make the changes gave me such a headache... I believe there is a new CMS coming out soon which is going to blow away VN but, do not know the name of this as of yet...

Converge sounds awesome...

>> Download Now *** The download of PDR2 has been temporarily disabled while we address a possible security issue with the code. This issue does not impact previous version of Invision Power Board and since version 2.0 PDR2 does not have upgrade ability from previous versions there is no impact for our current customer base.

    • What the press release doesn’t mention, however, is how much water the natural gas plant itself will consume, Natural gas plants use about 2,803 gallons of water per megawatt-hour produced, which is significantly less than coal-fired plants that use around 19,185 gallons per megawatt-hour. Overall, natural gas plants are more water-efficient, using 584% less water than traditional power plants on average. AI generated
