WindowFX runs beautifully here. I bet the reason why it's not fading the 'My Computer' screen is because you've set a maximum size for windows to fade in, which means anything that exceeds the defined size will not fade. You can turn it off so that everything fades, but if your PC is low spec then your PC will be chug-city.

I don't understand the whole Stardock products use excessive resources argument. It's flung around everywhere, yet with all of the Stardock products I've used (I have an OD.NET subscription), NONE of them use what I believe to be excessive resources. WindowFX uses abour 2-3% resources when window transitions are being used, 0-1% idle. Same on my girlfriends PC.

i have a decent pc running xp, so that wont be the problem

i tried everything it doesnt wont to fade my computer :ninja:

oh well, all stardock products run like **** here

like icon packager it changed back the icons to original like my computer, my documents and some other icons after i rebooted

found alternative --> bee icons all fixed now

also windowblinds runs bad here, just patching uxtheme is a better alternative etc...

dont like stardock :ninja:

The iconpackager problem, what graphics card are you running?

If it's an nvidia card, ther is a service that runs at startup that prevent some icons from being changed.

Do start>run>services.msc

Look for the service called "Nvidia Driver Helper Service". Disable that service and reboot.

Then rebuild the icon cache and reapply the theme.

Problem should be solved

Did you also know that everytime you update windows, it replaces the uxtheme.dll file to the correct version. In order to continue using custom themes, you have to keep replacing the file or use the hack of a program StyleXP.

Resources for either windowblinds or msstyles all depend on the theme being used. Very simple or minimlistic themes like Watercolor or a OS X theme use every little memory, while a theme like Last Cobalt tends to use more memory
