Question

Well, at the mo I have VB 3.0.0, I recently got the gold edition from vbulletin.com but whenever I upgrade it says

"Datastore table dosent exist"

And no, in PHP my admin the table is not there, so I was wondering should I make the table manually ?, if so, someone needs to give me the SQL code so I can do it automaticly in php my admin :p

And the point of this forum is what then?

The problem with that is that unlicensed, or "warez" users could gain technical support for their illegal setup. Whilst at the official vBulletin forums, their protection system ensures that only officially licensed vBulletin users can post in the support forums or access the support ticketing system.

I mean, it's a nice idea how NeoWin is providing this forum to help users, I, and apparently five04, feel that NeoWin's help could be abused to help users using their forum illegally.

Anyway, that's just my option :)

EDIT: [a fire chronicle] beat me to it :)

Then we should remove all support forums, since anythign can be obtained illegally. What a terrible attitude.

lol, point taken

But you must understand there is a huge "underground" community who use vBulletin. Yes, I admit, so is say, Windows, Office, NAV etc etc...

But, with respect, the legitimate users would most probably get a better response from the vBulletin.com/.org/templates.com sites. They have the staff that create the application and can help in basically any situation - unlike, say, Windows, where there are tons of developers, none who work on the technical support side of things.

Not only is the general community of the site, well, probably more knowledgeable in the field of PHP/MySQL/vBulletin in general - but we know that the actual developers are there to answer any questions, fix any bugs, or do whatever is necessary.

As an added bonus - we *know* that if the user is posting there, they must be holding a valid vBulletin license. We can't for example, check all NeoWin members has a valid Windows license.

You mean you didn't get the memo about product activation being tied to your account activation? ;)

invision power board, phpbb can be obtained illegally but are also legal to download. :)

as Marshalus said, you can't check every user for a legal windows copy but you can check vB users. bangbang, no offence, but this world will remain to have piracy.
