Window Blinds and Command Shell (cmd window)

Hello,

i have a little problem: some window blinds (espacially all that are apple look alike) do not show the window frame correctly (see attached gif image). I like window blinds very much and the apply style, too.

I'm using WB 4.20.19 and windows xp (prof. german edition).

Some blinds work correctly, so i guess, there is some problem with the border width.

Any advice?

Yes I agree it's a problem, the scroll bar doesn't get skinned either.

Looks like the author of the skin didn't set their caption height metric.

Load it up in SkinStudio, go to misc (I think that's the area) and find metrics. Then change the caption height metric to be the size of the title bar (usually the titlebar image / 2). It defaults to 23 but it probably should have been 22 or 21 in this case.

I don't remember why it was removed though.

We do not skin command prompt scrollbars and never have done.

There are a number of restrictions when skinning those windows and thats one of them (plugins are also disabled and animation effects)

you could just use Console. among many other cool features window frames and scrollbars get skinned with msstyles and i am pretty sure with WindowBlinds as well. http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/
