Oh, and about the pixelated icons, the only suggestion I can offer if you dont have any other icons apart from the XP ones is that your screen is only displaying 16.7 million colours rather than true 32 bit colour.

if your screen isnt in 32 bit mode, all the icons have no shadow or alpha transparency, making them look sharp and "pixelated".

Not sure if that was what you meant, but its a suggestion.

no one is DJ :p

I really mean no-one. Even Microsoft aren't good at their own game. I mean, come on, if they knew what they were doing they wouldn't have made such a limited skinning service (which was obviously thrown together at the ast minute to make XP look slightly more "advanced"), let alone stop people using non-default themes!

I mean OMFG theyre stoophad! :omfg:

Ive had my rant now, its all good ;)

But more on topic, I think that Bant has done an excellent job! He even changed the colour of the info and balloon messages! Bravo! I hate that yellow colour

i'm glad so many are enjoying this. there will be a few bug fixes and that startpanel flag will be moved (not removed, i like it too much) in the next release. i will also be slimming down the the msstyle and the rar file (removing the walls and packaging them seperately), as well as doing a little font tweaking. no eta on the update, i'm in the middle of a busy week, so it might not show up until the middle of next week. either way, the bugs arent too distracting, so there shouldnt be any problems with use in the mean time ;)

in reply to the fellow themers looking at the guts of the theme, go for it guys, i hope you find something useful. i really don't feel that i've raised the bar in terms of what can be done in msstyles, though i am constantly trying to at least reach it.

in regards to what bugs are known:

the show-all-programs menu arrow bug is known, is in lots of themes, and is a lose-lose sort of situation, if we don't have that bug, we have another bug with the menu and it's just as distracting. what can be done to fix it on your end? clean up your menu, organize it so that it doesnt expand to more than 1 column. it's sort of punishment for being unorganized, you see?

there is a known bug in foobar, that i'm not sure i will be fixing (as, i think it's mostly foobar's fault...lol... leave it to me to blame everybody else)

there are a couple more that have already been fixed and will be included with the other bug fixes listed and found before i release an update.

will there be any color variants? ie. blue *hint hint*

    • So is Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, just to mention a few. What's your point? Everyone is a threat from their enemies' perspective. I'd say that Israel is only a threat to their immediate enemies like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian regime, not to anyone else.
    • The government is not the good guy either. You propose 99% of people require that the government overreach and govern their freedom of information and privacy, while ignoring the government is made up 100% of people, of which 99% are (as you described) brain dead. You can't have both. The reality is Signal is absolutely right and the government is doing what it has always done. Ignoring that we are their boss and grabbing all the power they possibly can to make sure we aren't. Your (societies) ###### parenting is not reason enough as to why I can't have a safe platform for my data/information. Thinking the government is helping is precisely what they are targeting psychologically to take suckers like you for a ride. "Think of the children" was, has, is, and will always be a mechanism of control. In the rare occasion it's actually essential the mass consensus has always been there and it doesn't become a debate.
