I'm currently in the process of making a Trillain Skin for HmmXP. I was going to design it around the basic Trillian Pro skin, because I've grown quite acustom to it. Something I need help with, however, is the minmaxclose buttons. I made my own file, but need a little help with cropping it to work right.

I have this (settings.ini):

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-V1Slice '0'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-V2Slice '13'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-V3Slice '26'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-V4Slice '39'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-V5Slice '52'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-H1Slice '0'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-H2Slice '13'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-H3Slice '26'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-H4Slice '39'>

<!ENTITY % inibmpMinMaxClose-H5Slice '52'>

And would like to know what this section should be:

<!ENTITY ini1MMCPlacement '<rect><left num="22" width="1"/><right num="6" width="1"/><top num="6" height="0"/><bottom

num="20" height="0"/></rect>'>

<!ENTITY ini2MMCPlacement '<rect><left num="40" width="1"/><right num="24" width="1"/><top num="6" height="0"/><bottom

num="20" height="0"/></rect>'>

<!ENTITY ini3MMCPlacement '<rect><left num="56" width="1"/><right num="40" width="1"/><top num="6" height="0"/><bottom

num="20" height="0"/></rect>'>

<!ENTITY ini4MMCPlacement '<rect><left num="74" width="1"/><right num="58" width="1"/><top num="6" height="0"/><bottom

num="20" height="0"/></rect>'>

*NOTE: The buttons place correctly, but they overlap another set of buttons (from the same file, I guess), that are not aligned correctly.

Here's what's happening. Also, I'd like to note how I dislike how their Window display works. Window.bmp works fine for small width windows, but with long width windows if you use gradients it messes up. I may include a flat color version of HmmXP Trillian Skin, if anyone wants me to.

okay, it's pretty much done. a few bugs still.. i'm still trying to figure out the minmaxclose buttons and why they aren't working right, and i'm trying to find out where the border to the menubar is. it's a color difference, but i'm not sure where it's coming from. i've checked every image and the entire settings.ini like three times and still can't find out what's wrong! any help?

It's good but there's a lot of little GUI things I don't like about yours. I am trying to keep with the default Watercolor skin that comes with Trillain Pro. And I want my window to match HmmXP exactly, meaning not that small titlebar you use. Also, your icons aren't quite my taste :p But good work, at least you can get the minmaxclose buttons to work! I'd really like to keep mine as close to the msstyles theme as I can. If I wasn't making mine though, I'd surely use yours :)

    • Exciting! It’s amazing how hearing Japanese can naturally enhance the perceived quality of any experience or product.
    • Your other comment in another article says otherwise, namely "Microsoft veteran wants to replace every single line of C/C++ code with Rust and AI".
    • Sued and... exonerated. Oh, they learned a lesson alright. They learned that anyone who uses the word "antiturst" in conjunction with "Microsoft" is an idiot, even if that person is Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson. That judge ruined the image of the US justice system. Microsoft Edge has a 5.14% market share. Also, Windows is no longer the #1 OS. None of this constitutes a monopoly. Google Chrome, however, has 70.25% share. Also, Google's Android is the #1 OS. Now that's closer to a monopoly.
