According to the Pterodon site a new patch for Vietcong is out today and adds some rather nice things:

• Faster network code - game runs ~ 45% faster
  
• Bot only gameplay - you do not need to play the game - just watch our nice graphics
  
• Support for the iSmell product by Digital Scents - now you will be able to smell the Vietcong in the tunnels
  
• An option to upload your own picture to the game server - our intelligent plugin will assume whether you may play as the US army or the Vietcong
