Current Socket 754 Athlon 64 only have single channel, the FX-5X range are dual channel, but you need registered ram,

When A64 goes socket 939 it will cut the cache from 1mb to 512kb, but have dual channel unregistered support

Tick (Y)

The Socket 940 (Athlon-FX 51 & 53) have Dual Channel support but only with registered RAM.

The Socket 754 Athlon 64's only have single Channel support, but No FSB because of the On Chip Memory Controler which means they outperform Dual Channel solutions implemented by the 32bit Athlon XP's.

The future Socket 939 CPU's will have dual channel support without the need for registered RAM. They should be out end of june/early july.
