im needing to ceate a dropdown menu like the one on http://www.traxxas.com/

what do they use to make the link pop out when you rollover them? dhtml?

and how hard is it to do?

You have quite a few options if you want to code one yourself: CSS, Javascript, a combination of both, etc...

If you just want a quick solution, then the most popular drop down menu is probably the Ultimate Drop Down Menu by Brothercake. It has good documentation, and is easily configurable.

For menus that just drop down, you might want to read the Suckerfish Dropdowns article at A List Apart. You would need to know some CSS if you want to configure it very much, but it is a much lighter menu in terms of filesize than the one by Brothercake.

i just checked out them sites, i really like the Ultimate Drop Down Menu but i would possibly be using it in a commercial site and dont have the money to purchase it.

it says its free to use in non profit sites..will i get into trouble using it on a commercial site? :(

is there any other drop down scripts that are FREE and dont care about what site there on?

please someone help me!
