iTunes vs Winamp

Which one do you prefer, and why?

I mostly use iTunes, but XMMS (winamp clone that works on *nix/OS X) is nice to use sometimes.

XMMS supports vorbis and flac files, and there are some cool plugins like a voice remover that are cool.

Winamp - uses less resources, sounds better, runs better, does more of what I need done.

Sounds better how so? The player doesn't change the way a song plays, except for maybe an equalizer. The song quality is based on the bitrate and your speakers...

itunes....compliments my ipod perfectly. there is an equalizer...its the first button in the bottem right corner.

I prefer Winamp over iTunes any day. It is easier on resources, has good music management (music library) which is as good (if not better) then in iTunes. Also it is fully customizable, which is nice.

Though lately I am hooked up on Foobar2000, it is even more customizable and is very nice to use. Especially in my iTune-ish setup I totally love it.

For me it's iTunes, just because it works with my iPod really well, and I like having my playlists easily selectable from the menu on the left.

Hey, remember me? I surmise that you still haven't learnt your grammar...

I prefer iTunes, but that's because I use a Mac. I also have a ogg plugin for iTunes and it's not bad. I mainly use it because of the iPod interation and organizational features.

And to the poster who said that no equalizer is included... no, it's just you, an equalizer is included.

Winamp since so far I haven't seen DFX for iTunes... got damn does that make the sound sound better!

I use winamp becuase it uses less resources sits in the task and i have an iPod plugin for winamp so all i do is go to the library, select ipod, drag all the tracks to my playlist and im set.
