ANova
Been reading thru the thread and saw that a number of people are asking about having apps install at the same time Windows does......it is possible, but its an involved process.M S F N . O R G has put together a very detailed guide about building an Unattended XP Install. The CD or DVD that is built during this process not only installs XP but just about any app you wish at the same time. h t t p : / / u n a t t e n d e d . m s f n . o r g / Hope this helps........ iceking
first off I would like to say that I am a newbie at Slipstreaming, But I will try to explain my problem as best I can. I recently Slipstream Windows XP and SP1 using "Autostreamer" and it worked perfectly. after that, I burned it to a CD using Nero version 5.5.9.14 and I selected the option in Nero to make a bootable CD, after the burning process was completed and I checked to make sure that burned process was successful, it showed that there was a ISO filed their on the CD, but it was not a bootable disk. so my question is what am I doing wrong or is there another piece of software that I am missing to make a Slipstream bootable CD??? sidenote,I can boot from the CD drive. thanks Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/160615-slipstreaming-windows-xp-sp1/page/3/#findComment-584313299 Share on other sites

VTSV
Does the stuff in the "SUPPORT" folder get installed automatically? What should be there by default? Cause the guide said to add stuff there, but there are already some files... newdles
Those of you using nlite and having errors, be sure you have .net framework 1.x installed (NOT 2.0). Also, nlite can slipstream sp2 with ease plus much more. Sp2 puts an end to a need for autopatcher other than to use it as tweaks and such. So until that version is available to where you don't have to download a 200+ mb file, it's really a tough decision on which route to take. Will be interesting to see the newer versions that are "Post Sp2" :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/160615-slipstreaming-windows-xp-sp1/page/3/#findComment-584354460 Share on other sites

Zoom7000
When I copy my cd content to the harddisk, the file Z:\VALUEADD\MSFT\USMT\ANSI\USMTDEF.INF always failes to be copied. I also can't open open it. Anyone else got this problem. I made a *.nrg image of my xp cd, the tried to copy the file from the image with alcohol120%...same error again. So what's the deal with this file. Do I need it necessarily for the setup or for Windows in general? I get the same problem, any solutions? Japlabot
hey, way to bump a mega old thread. its for SP1, why would you need it? perhaps this thread should have been deleted. Because I remember that it had instructions for backing up the Activation Status and embedding it into a Slipstreamed CD. It still has value.
