thanks gator, yeah, it's called quickchanger. it's pretty nice, i found it over at deviantart. i have like 10 wallpapers i'm addicted to right now, so it helps keep me satisfied;)

That is the normal Quick Launch bar. I haven't even tried truelaunch because I'm happy with the way I have my stuff setup right now.

its just a modified KDE, icons are from the winXp conversion of Mac icons I think, found a long time ago here on the forum..

wallpaper is at http://themes.kde.org/

edit: anyone know how to convert .ico to *.png or *.xpm without loosing their transpancy?
