,Jun 30 2004, 22:24] just a quick question, this will support msn display pics?

I want to build that into a later version, but I want to get a fully working core + protocol first.

On another note, do you know if there is any chance the program would ever be able to access the neowin username and password database. this is ideal for several reasons which i stated a page or two back

mmmm, you ned to talk about that with the admins, I dont doubt it will be ideal, but I assume you understand the big risk that this implies

this seems as a great app to look out in the future, congrats :)

From - http://www.staticfish.co.uk/neowin/ The new site for Neowin Messenger

Neowin Messenger

Version 0.1.3

This is the new version of Neowin Nessenger. This is a small release (buddy list working but chat abilities still being tested and not in this release) and its primary objectives are to check that the buddy list can handle the users.

Thanks to Matt74441 for running the server program on his machine

-

Changelog:

Updated buddylist core

Auto update checker a login stage

New login screen

-

*NOTE* Buddy to buddy chat is not yet available. This also means IP to IP chat is broken too. This will be all fixed and ready for the next release. If everyone can just log in for a while this would be an amazing help... i need to check concurrent buddy lists

I think I'm partially to blame for this. I'm the one who was running the server program yesterday and I don't have a static IP. The IP address for the server is hard-coded into the program.

So, would someone with a fast Internet connection that is always on, and who has a static IP please step up to the plate?

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
