Try going to the internet options and under temporary files/advanced, tick check for new pages every visit to the site.....something like that.  Also make sure the browser ain't pointing to a proxy.

Actually, Tools --> Internet Options --> General Tab (usually opens to this tab as a default) --> Settings button.

At the top of the settings, there is the setting for "Check for new versions of the stored page...."

usualy, it is set to automatic, you can force ti to check every time by selecting "Every time"

Thanx !

Well, I am not talking about the Local Cache, I can disable it at all!

But it is useless!

I am talking about the Cache Server at ISP side!

& I am not using any Proxy in my Proxy options!

If your browser is not pointed towards a proxy, I don't believe you are getting web sites for your ISP cache at all, as I've never heard of anyone being forced to use an ISP cache without a proxy server being defined in the browser settings (though I could be wrong). By the way, a local cache is far from useless.

Unfortunately, it is happening with me!

watch the attach pic below,

it always shows this page to me, from 4 days, I guess!

as well as every main web site!

I am going to contact with ISP, but thats my last option!

I'm having similar problems :( , i can view practially all websites on the internet as normal except for my own web site! :argh:

for example, www.1336.v343.com should redirect to www.thirteenthirtysix.v343.com and then load a site. i just get a 404, even if i bypass the redirection and type in the long name

also, i cant connect to ftp but i know for a fact that its online because i sent my friend the log in details and he got in.

im on uk telewest broadband, no proxy and ive already followed instructions above to try and get cache cleared. no change.

please please help me!

Tried just emptying the cache?

Tools -> Internet Options -> Delete Files -> OK.

you think im N00B ?

well thanx for suggestion, at least you're trying to Help me!

the "?" at the End of address works!

but just for front page ?

ctrl + refresh (twice soemtimes is needed) is the only way to do it if your ISP uses transparent chaching . the other alternative is to move to an ISP who arent so bandwidth stingy , who have a good network and dont need to use transparent caching proxies. if you are in the UK i work for an ISP liek that ;) if you are in antoerh country then its time to get researching.

BTw the ISPS with the most subscribers (uk = freeserver, aol, tiscali etc) are the money grabers, they use centended bandwidth adn so use this kind of idea to save on bandwidth , most of them use squid , a smaller ISP which costs a litttle more is probably your best bet.

No need to get narky. I realise this is a simple thing - but with someone you don't know, and especially when you don't know if they know about how to handle a PC, it's always best to start from the basics and work your way out.

Best thing is to call Blueyonder and ask them to manually flush the cache for you or to remove your account from the caching (dunno if they can do that or not).

I remember Freeserve puts their users through a cache, but you could easily remove it by taking out the references from the proxy settings.

you cant do that if the SP uses transparent caching :(
