Is there a program that allows you to somehow send a popup message to a specified computer on a network. Its for a college network and it might be handy to be able to communicate across the classroom :ninja:

i can use dos (or network connections) to get a list of connected PCs so is it possible? the names i get are like C221-1, C221-2 etc. And since the name of the room is C221 im assuming each pc can be communicated to separetely.

thankyou!

nono, maybe i said it all wrong. i can already get the list of computers.

i need a win32 style program make pop ups like the one below appear on other peoples monitors. itfd be very useful. (nothing to do with the contents of the actual pop up below though)

netsend works just fine.

yes, type in "net send computername message" in the dos prompt, and it will send a message to that computer. You can also send messages to certain usernames.

There are programs that use a GUI interface to do this, but I think they are stupiud to use when you can just open up CMD.

We use Realpopup - a freeware to send/receive messages between users on our network
