HI great app Kieran. It would be so good if you could get it to work on just one monitor. I watch movies and stuff on my second monitor and have been looking for something to turn off the primary monitor. or with a different short cut I could turn off the secondary. It's always the simplest things that you need but can't get. Cheers.

Thanks for the replies guys! I am currently working on a new version of the app. This version will add support for multiple monitors so you can choose which ones to turn off. It also has the ability to disable the mouse so that mouse events will not turn your monitor back on. Development is going OK but I could really do with some more testers who have multiple monitor setups. I don't currently have a multiple monitor setup and I only have one tester who has so development has been slow so far.

One thing to point out is that if you have your multiple monitor setup working in clone mode, you will not be able to turn off the monitors seperatly. This is a limitation of Windows. It will only work if each monitor has it's own work space.

Let me know if you are interested,

Kieran

I ll do some testing for you. If it makes any difference what the graphics setup is I have an ATI 9800pro with the lastest 5.1 drivers and two monitors a digital flat panel and an analogue projector screen. Do ati and nvidia name the monitors differently in windows?

Thanks to all the people offering to beta test. I have been very very busy the last couple of months so have had no time to devolop the application further. Next week I think I will have time to put some work in on it, so I will pm you with a new version when it is ready.

For those of you that can't find the working links in this thread:

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
    • What I can't seem to understand is that Google are paying SpaceX? Surely it would be the other way round, with SpaceX needing Google's datacenters etc.? Oh well, this level of money and power is way outside of my comprehension at the best of times.
    • "77ee94b helium/windows: winsparkle updater (built-in auto-update support on Windows" If that's what I think it is, that is about the only thing that's been missing from this excellent browser. I guess I'll find out the next time I'm on a Windows machine.
