Sorry for the delay, I was trying to throw together a quick shellstyle to throw in with the 1st beta so people that use the common tasks view wouldn't have the ugly blue or blank whites ones on their screen. Kept me busy for awhile, changed the caption buttons once again as well and made a to do list of tweaks I need to adjust and once I'm done with that I'll post it for everyone to play around with. Sorry its taking so long, its my first theme so I had to learn the ropes as I went. Heres a shot of the shellstyle if anyone is interested:

I'm actually starting to like the theme without the transparency now the more I use it.. go figure :rolleyes: lol If someone would just come up with a way to make only the toolbars and boarders transparent instead of the entire window we be all set :D

btw. the shellstyle could be a little lighter, and not that wihte-black fading thing with the silver solid border.... (only my opinion..), but the pictures are good!

and if you could include the desktop sidebar them, we would be pleased forever! :cool:

yea i agree with isakowski bout what he said on the shellstyle. Lil too dark for the overall glass appearence. But other than that it is sweet. Also what kind of buttons are u gonna use like the back favorites etc...?

Ok guys, gonna release this thing in a couple of hours.. its still gonna be a "beta" type release as I'm a perfectionist and like to hear peoples complaints and stuff so I can change things, but its pretty much a finished theme now.. just needs to be tweaked to how everyone wants it. I've included two different versions of the caption bar buttons since everyone seemed to be split as to which version they liked best.. I went back and tried to get the black button ones a little closer to the actual thing... heres what they both will look like:

And the toolbar buttons like back and favorites will be the standard XP buttons, can't change those in a msstyle unfortunatly.. think there are a lot of programs out there that let ya skin those buttons though ;)

ok, what i mean is this:

this looks lighter for me, no hard lines and just some single buttons. and it is white-grey and not black.

in my opinion, that would look better with your skin, but who knows?

no no no the bars are sweet. its just the white to black gradiant background. it stands out to much, perhaps the bg should be just that silver that is apparent in the rest of the theme. It looks good and that way it will blend in with the top like the caption bar does. So it will have the appearence of it all being one unit kinda, if u catch my drift. But other than that, its sweetness all the way.

EDIT:ok what Isakowski posted as a bg is cool too. but just make it look like its all one piece so when the common tasks plane is open, that its bg blends in with the rest of the window and so its not all seperated. But yea that bg is nice and easy on the eyes, so somehting like that aslong as it blends in and appears as its all one piece. and again the buttons and bars u have a sweet, so dont change thoses

Perfect!!! Now that i think about it, maybe the bars could be a lil lighter shade of grey at the top of the bar but other than that its perfect!!! CANT WAIT!!!!!!! :D :D :D
