0x0000008e & 0x0000000a Stop Error

I have been having these blue screens for quite some time now. It mostly happens when playing games, BFV, UT2K4. But will also happen when just surfing the web or listening to music. I have replaced almost everything in my system. Everything marked new has been replaced to try to fix my problem.

Athlon 2400XP with a volcano 12 heatsink and artic silver 5 paste (heat sink and paste new, CPU old)

MSI k7n2 Delta (new was abit KD7)

512 MB Kingston DDR400 (new on the way, warranty)

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (new was Abit GeForce FX 5600 Ultra)

Antec 550W Truepower (new was enermax 300W)

160GB Western Digital 7200 RPM Drive (new was below drive)

80GB Maxtor 7200 RPM (archives)

I have bought a new case with better air flow. Have 6 fans, 2 in on the front, 1 in on side, 2 out on back, 1 out on top, so I don't think heat is an issue. I just noticed that the video card is very hot to the touch so I don't know if this is normal. My old card took up a PCI slot with it's cooling and still had this issue.

Sometimes when the games crash, it just goes to the desktop and doesn't blue screen. Sometimes it reboots without a blues screen. I have formated several times with the same results.

I have run Microsoft's memory tester in the past for like 24 hours with no errors.

I actually am running memtest86 now and it just dumped a bunch of errors. I hope that is my problem. I have typed all this out so I am gonna post it anyway to see if you guys think the errors on the memory could cause the above issues.

I have googled to death for this answer and searched every forum possible. I have been fighting this problem for several months now and my computer is pretty much worthless in it's current state. Any help or comment on this would be awesome. I am forever in your debt(s). :D

all those issues could be caused by memory. Usually CTD's (crash to desktop) are caused by faulty ram. Memtest failing would definitely be an indication of bad RAM. It is the only program which really does a good job at testing all of the memory.

Wow fast posts around here. I love it!! :D

I have 12 errors from memtest86 on pass 1. I have an RMA in to Kingston, just because I can't really replace anything else in the system.

I shall see in a couple of days if my problem will finally be fixed. If nothing else, it gave me excuses to upgrade my PC :p
