I think the 77 just refers to 1977. It may be of no significance, but I believe that was the 50th anniversary of Pan Am.

Hate to burst your bubbles, but PanAm didn't exist during 9/11 and nor did any 741 hit the WTC/Pentagon/Whitehouse.
