sunnyy4
Usually, when I fire up my computer, the hard disk immediately spins up. However, when I fired up my computer today, there was a 5-7 second delay in spinning up. Taking the fact that I have not changed my config, is my hard disk about to go dead? Weasel
shit happens, backup your data before its too late and go buy another HD. Western Digital has some nice 120 GB 7200 RPM 8 MB Cache drives. :D
Dessimat0r
You cant say that the hard disk is about to go off one 'incident' liek that It could have been that the hark disk didnt park its heads correctly - maybe the pwoer drained out of your pc too quickly when you turned if off
Heinrich-X
restart and see if it does it again, if you HDD is going dead it will be longer this time, or dead. it is prolly just a fluke, i wouldn't worry about it
