how do i install a shell pack? sorry i've never done this before

for sp1 users:

1. go to C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\ and rename shell32.dll to shell32.dll.bak

2. go to C:\Windows\System32\dllcache\ and rename shell32.dll to shell32.dll.bak

3. go to C:\Windows\System32\ and rename shell32.dll to shell32.dll.bak

4. take the shell32 that you wanna use and move it the C:\Windows\System32 directory

you will get this file protection popup on the first screen hit 'cancel' and the second screen hit 'yes'

restart your computer then rebuild the icon cache.

btw- these are nice icons thanks for the shell pack

um i was converting it for myself, but will upload to server after i'm done if u want cos i have sp2 :) hope the creator doesn't mind ? :)

EEeeemm...!!!! If you mean me, I have no problem. :)

But ask and Rokey. I'm sure that he will not have a problem with that. :D

P.S. If somebody have smooth metal (or something to go with this icons) avis or standard buttons I will love to have it. :woot:

Thanks guys :D

I'm glad that you like it.

chau

I just screwed up my computer. I tried installing the shell32.dll and stuff then I restarted windows and the winlogin.dll is screwed up so now I think I have to format it

Have you save the old Shell32.dll (like Shell32.bak)?

If yes, then boot from WinXP CD and replace it.

P.S. I'm making a Shell pack with Gartoon Icons from Zeus.

Are any body interesting about that?

(If yes I will ask permission from Zeus to release it).
