build a box under 50 - 100 $

alright i got a little challenge for all the comp. builder's. can you build a fairly good budget pc under 100 dollars if you already have the video card, HD, Floppy and CD burner. if so tell could ya tell me how you got the price and i already know about price watch, mwave, and all that jazz. just looking for a second or third or fourth... etc opionion heh

It's really impossible, unless you get all used parts. New tower is gonna run you an average of $50 and up, motherboard with like a lot of things integrated is gonna run you $60 or up, processor depends on the board you get, and oh yeah RAM. I think under $200 could be a reasonable goal considering what you already have.

You could build a good budget box for about $150. Pick up an ECS K7S5A or ECS K7VZA motherboard a cheap AMD Duron processor(I think an 850mhz Duron goes for like $35 on the net) a cheap HSF(Heatsink+Fan), some thermal paste(Artic Silver or Artic Aluminum are quite good) and a little ram and slap your other parts in and you are ready to go. If you don't have an ATX case then it will cost you under $200 if you pick up a generic ATX case that includes a generic 250w PSU .

Impossible. Even the ccheapest crappiest motherboards are almost 100$, plus a crappy processor is another hundred. Add a case and PS and your at least another 100. ..sound card.. the list goes on
