One of the things I've noticed in time is, when someone creates a theme/visualstyle they create it only for ' Normal ' font size.. a lot of folks use the highest resolution posible they can on thier monitor, then use large or extra large fonts. This really messes up the theme/vs. I imagine it would take a lot more work to make the theme/vs work with all font sizes.... So I find that if I leave the font size on normal and bring the resolution down so I can read the fonts, the theme/vs looks just perfect....... Just my $0.02 :)

Oh.. and one more thing ... Awesome work again Stefanka :woot: :woot:

either way, Razor..

something else ive noticed though...the maximize/close buttons are weird....basically onlu the X is where it can close...if you move your mouse over jsut a little to the left of the X, it becomes maximize...so ive had a few problems there, but other than that its pretty good

oh, and of course the favorites section doesnt have icons, and neither do others..cant wait for an update :)

so it doesn't really matter? if I do it in normal or safe mode? I need to be sure before I modify anything..

in witch substyle you have the problem with the buttons?

post a screenshot.

I don't know about the others stefanka, but I've noticed that problem on Substyle 1. Can't really show it with a screenshot. It has to do with the hitarea with each of the buttons.

hey, so how did you replace the browselc.dll? and what exact did you did do

Used Replacer to first replace the file in C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\ (this is because of Service Pack 1, I think)

Then the file in C:\Windows\System32\dllcache\

Then the file in C:\Windows\System32

Then I restarted the computer. I knew something happened when my "File" in the toolbar turned into "~".

Hope this helps.

cool thnx :D oh and did you use replacer for all of them?

Oh wow, these posts go up fast. Looks like you got it covered.

yup I got it.. now to figure out what Stef's saying.. hmm.. "resize the menu on the right side-finish it." any ideas? cause it certainly doesn't look like it has a menu there..

edit : nvm.. I got it.. from own experimenting.. :D

Hmm, I'll see what I can do about getting a BMP out for this...

*Edit: Bleh, not much, it would appear. Simply missing too many icons. I'm posting the 4 I made before I gave up.

The taskbar button states in style 1 are somewhat indistinct. Especially the flashing state. They're all pretty close to black.

    • No. Windows 8 had little to no spywhare, is actually faster than 7 but it has the dreaded start screen, nothing that you could not fix with start8. Windows ME crashed often, but was shotlived and replaced by XP, which is a much better windows in itself.
    • Windows 8 was uninspiring but it was fine / worked. It was just overshadowed by how great Windows 7 was. Windows ME seem to be just unstable for most people - I was using Windows 2000, which was far superior. The two best versions are Windows 7 and 2000
    • I don't think ME was that bad. The stability issues were mostly caused by drivers. This was when the switch from vxd to wdm was happening. The other complaint was not being able to shut down into DOS anymore which was silly with XP right around the corner.
    • As much as I hated Windows 8, although I never used it personally on any of my own machines, I think Windows Me was hands down the worst OS from MS. I have Windows 11 on 2 unsupported machines and haven't had any issues and I actually kind of like it. Still hate how slow Windows updates are though.
    • Why do you think they whol industry would be done? Agree a lot has shifted around the launch with devs moving their dates to avoid the timeframe around the launch. But if this fails, it'll be talked about, analysed, Rockstar will likely be ridiculed but people will move on. Others devs might be more cautious about these large games but I don't think one game will change the entire industry
