You don't really need to reboot into Safe Mode to replace system files. Killing Explorer is usually sufficient. Always remember, don't delete. Just rename with extension *.bak, in case you mess up. Deleting sometimes doesn't work either, so there's no point in actually doing it.

Iceman's tutorial to replace system files (it works without fail and teaches you how to get in the guts of WindowsXP)...:

ok..i followed everything what you linked below. and did that step by step.. killed explore.exe. went to dllcache folder and system32 changed the browselc.dll to .bak and copying the new browselc from stefanka folder.so the result..NOTHING>>>. e?

found out it was getting a little too blue here.

blue mushroom boot,logonui,background, blueskintheme and blue crystal icons

but those icons and this skin theme go together nicly

srry for double post, couldnt edit previous one, but ive made some progress, EQ is partly skinned now, caption buttons, end preset button still has to be done, also the thingy in the top middle *dunno what its called*

anyone has any ideas about the caption buttons for the equalizer, cause both 2 buttons use the same 'pressed' image, maybe 2 black round dots for bot close & minimize buttons ?

this is real nice to look at but plz plz...

fix the colors so the are readable in mozilla apps, change roll over text color for taskbar groups, get rid of the white in the startmenu, search + folders in y'z toolbar show default icons and thers a white line on windows explorer in the 2nd bar where back/search etc. is, there's lots of bugs that i've noticed and if they are fixed i will be using this for quite a while. thanks
