Make sure that when you create the rectangle using the Shape tool that you have the Shape Layers mode selected, as shown in this pic:

i think im doing something wrong.... the anchor stays there... but i dont know how to give the square a shape.....

i do have that selected when i do the square... but when i move the anchors it wont move. :(

EDIT: forget about it... i did it! :D LOL wrong tool... was the anchor+ tool and not the pen tool :p
