Would anyone know how I can get foobar to open a new playlist when playing mp3s outside of foobar (like when playing from explorer)?

preferences > core > select alway send to playlist, give it a name

Can someone tell me how you change the title bar, maybe i'm just slow, but i can't find how :/

It doesn't change with the theme, and i tried several that comes with a bar...

I'm talking about the bar that says like Foobar and stuff, on the top :/

And how can i get that bar on the left that shows the album cover? :)

I can just get mine in the top panel...

1. preference > display > title formatting > main window title

2. add albumart to the sidepanel, make sure to enable sidepanel too

need some help please

^Very nice config Psyphre.

Also at the moment I am using 0.9 RC (24/2/06). I cannot seem to get the Album list to appear in the sidebar

Thats because the album list panel hasn't been updated to work with the newest release candidate. I doubt that it will get updated until the final version gets released.

Heres my foobar layout. Part of my upcoming "Metamorphosis One" screenshot.

VERY nice (Y)

One thing though, could be better combining the Title and Artist columns, and seperating them with a $tab() and a few spaces. By doing that, most titles/artists won't get cut off in the playlist, unless they meet in the middle, which, when they do, the spaces will become the gap between the two.. if you understand what I mean :p

Anyway, hope you release it

Thx to all for the comments :)

Thalswe: ummm whats .fcs  , sorry im really new to foobar codes and stuff. I just spent an hour reading the foobar wiki last nite and figured out how to make the trailing lights shortly after.

For the trackinfo codes, im not sharing :p lol nah course I will.

recommended font: avantgarde

font colour: white

Title / artist:

$upper($if(%_trackinfo_notrack%,metamorphosisc0c0c0one,$if2(%title%,%_filename%) c0c0c0/ ffd955$meta_sep(artist,', ',' and ')))

lights and stop/pause text:

$if(%_isplaying%,$if(%_ispaused%, 9e9e9eo paused,$lower(

$replace($substr($num(%_time_elapsed_seconds%,4),4,5),0,ffffffo,1,c0c0c0o,2,9e9e9eo,3,808080o,4,808080o,5,ffffffo,6,c0c0c0o,7,9e9e9eo,8,808080o,9,808080o)

$replace($substr($num(%_time_elapsed_seconds%,4),4,5),0,808080o,1,ffffffo,2,c0c0c0o,3,9e9e9eo,4,808080o,5,808080o,6,ffffffo,7,c0c0c0o,8,9e9e9eo,9,808080o)

$replace($substr($num(%_time_elapsed_seconds%,4),4,5),0,808080o,1,808080o,2,ffffffo,3,c0c0c0o,4,9e9e9eo,5,808080o,6,808080o,7,ffffffo,8,c0c0c0o,9,9e9e9eo)

$replace($substr($num(%_time_elapsed_seconds%,4),4,5),0,9e9e9eo,1,808080o,2,808080o,3,ffffffo,4,c0c0c0o,5,9e9e9eo,6,808080o,7,808080o,8,ffffffo,9,c0c0c0o))),9e9e9eo stopped)

If anyone wants i can explain the concept of how the lights work (who knows mite inspire someone to make something better). Right now i can only make them move at 1 second intervals, it might be possible to get it faster, but that would get really complex.

spex04: ye i did try that for a while, but doesnt taht mean i cant have "title" and "artist" on opposite sides of the header, like in the screenshot? I'll play around with ur idea tho, see what i come up with, thx. Btw theres nothing release, its just a screen shot.

Psyphre: I must say, it's absolutely gorgeous. Are you planning to release this as a giant installable pack (Installs foobar, your config, extra stuff)?

Keep it up!

Thanks for the reply.

you can't do that (not allowed by foobar's distribution policy)

about the installation pack, i wasnt planning to, i wouldnt even know how to if i wanted. Its really simple to recreate my foobar setup if you wanted to. Just use the codes i pasted above for the track info panel.

You'll need plugins for:

columnsUI

columnsUI tabs

scheduler

album list

album art

I think tahts it.

thalswe: i tried uploading the fcs but neowin wont let me.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
