Hey guys sorry about the noob post here but I am a foobar virgin whos having some trouble with customizing its appearance.

I absolutely love Psyphre's foobar look and I am trying to replicate it on my own system. I think I have all of the components downloaded and installed correctly, but even after two hours of reading various forums and sites I really don't know what I'm doing. I have imported the .fcs file but do i need some sort of graphic for the top bar part?

Sorry for wasting space here I'm just real confused

I thought someone was too cool for foobar? :p

Mind sharing that config? :D

I will... soon. I'm still working on some stuff. Maybe someone know the %% for total playlist time?

I decied to try Foobar again since the developers of Winamp never fixed the bugs I reported and bloated the Media Library. Now Winamp is uninstalled.

dose: the top bit isnt a graphics, its the trackinfo panel, i think u mite need the trackinfo component for it. Once you have it, just paste the codes i put up in the last page into the trackinfo panel options. Use "$char(10)" to move the text down and spacebar to move it right.

.Stan: If your talking about the txt file, sorry cant help, i dont really know wat is is myself. Im guessing that u may need to change the .txt to .fcs and then in the foobar options, columnsUI section, import it. maybe.

em3: i could be wrong, but i dont think there is a total playlist time % %. hope im wrong tho.

@TheDarrelMan: Here's the line of code that you require to achieve the alternating color look

$if($strcmp($mod(%_playlist_number%,2),0),$rgb(xxx,xxx,xxx),$rgb(xxx,xx,xxx))

And of course, replace the xxx with any digit from the RGB color code ranging from 0 - 255 :)

Even though I have posted in this thread lots of times I don't remember ever posting a pic of my foobar, well here it is.

I'm using the newest release candidate with Navigator_1.4.0beta3 fcs, the playlists under library playlist are all autoplaylists.

Can't wait till foobar goes final and the SDK gets released so I can get a few more components like tabs, albumart etc.

This is my foo. :)

I'm using one of Undeads configs if I remember correctly.

It's great. (Y)

Anyway, I was wondering if there's a plugin/way to bind ctrl-c on the current song playing and then paste it in firefox, putty, miranda, etc... with a single button?

yes there is..

Set a global hotkey to [context / now playing] Copy name(s) found under preference > core > keyboard shortcuts

Greetings my foobar dudes & dudettes

Here is a shot of my latest foobar. I call it.. Let's Tango

OMG, this is awesome!!!!

Plz, could you share your buttons?

and how i can align the playlists switcher in the sidebar? and how u put a "tick" in the left part?

Thanks for those who shows their interest in my foobar setup. I have always liked my foobar to be minimal, uncluttered and also easy on the eyes :)

@FalledAngel: You can easily recreate the look I have in my foobar. If you look closely enough, I did some little "cheating" :D .The tick in my playlist is just a square root character. Here, . Put that anywhere you want ;)

While the alignment of the playlist looks just like a thing you can adjust in the preferences, you actually can't. So, all you have to do is make a new playlist. But instead of renaming it to lets say, Black Metal, try it with a "space". Yes, on your keyboard. :) If you want to move the playlist more downwards, create more playlist with "spaced" names. Do remember however, the playlist in foobar 0.8.3 cannot have the same name. So, if you want to make a 2nd playlist with "spaced" name, put in 2 spaces. So on and so forth. :)

...and before anyone asks again, here's the fcs

And to finish it off, here's my Tango buttons. I did it myself  It doesnt have mouseovers. So don't tick on "Bitmap includes mouseover images.

Later guys. :turned:
