IE Hijacking

My IE seems to be hijacked, when I booted the computer up this morning it automatically loaded up a website. I have went through the start up settings (msconfig) and couldnt find it, I have ran ad aware and it couldnt find anything and I am pretty sure I have had Zonealarm working all the time since I have been back online.

The address that comes up with it is: http://www.angelfire.com/alt2/tompans/thom.html

Is there any advice on how to get rid of it?

Try to update yer ad-aware..or u can remove it with registry-apps like Registry Crawler.

First off, scan for viruses / spyware.

I recommend: Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and CWShredder.

Likely that will do the trick. ;)

I did run ad aware, just going to update it now see if that works.

Slaps head.

Always update these programs before using them please.

Better yet, configure them to auto-update wherever/whenever possible.

And in future, don't click 'yes' to dialogue boxes that look remotely like that.

If it isnt something you clicked on that you wanted, then click 'no'.

Try the CWShredder program I posted a link for earlier. It is made specifically to combat browser hijacks and often catches things that ad-aware and spybot seemingly overlook. :happy:
