i've had like 25 invites so far, 95% of them i've given to friends and family. We should be getting some more for fathers day .. since we did for mothers day ... if we do i'll hit this thread up again :)

Please try to go down the list and not pick random people on and off the list. Otherwise, don't use this thread to distribute your invites.

You don't get on the list if you're a flooder; you get on the list if you are an active Neowin member. Note both the post count requirement and the date requirement. Five months is more than enough time to make 300 intelligent posts that aren't flooding Neowin.

Well, this isn't a perfect system. We can't tell that every post someone has made isn't completely stupid. However, we made rules that we thought were as fair as possible, without requiring a thorough background check on each person applying. Also, being on the Google mailing list has nothing to do with getting invitations to Gmail. The first person to get invitations to Gmail were those close to the project and their families, and then those users got invites to do with as they chose, and so on. Also, it doesn't matter whether you agree with Google's system. They are slowly adding more accounts to test server stability, and they can do that however they want. I'm sorry that you don't qualify for this list, but we might relax the requirements once we get everybody off of it.

I don't the system is perfect either, it's a bit unfair to me. But there has to be some limit, their always has to be a limit when you want organization of something. And limits are there to be accepted

nope i recommend a 24 hours wait before you decide to give them away to next bunch of people. (you know people sleep and work too, can spend all time on neowin waiting)

Yes, it was my fault that debianfan got an account (though good for him). I accidentally added some people to the list as I was speeding through the then 40-odd pages of posts, and didn't always check to see whether they met the limit. I apologize to those of you I've turned down from the list; it wasn't intentional.

Look at the latest version of the list (previous page; Zimbo is the one who gets the next invite). Contact me, or whoever is maintaining the list, or just post on the thread (like you just did), if you can't figure out who to invite.

just contact the persons on top of the waiting list and mention who you given an invite in this thread. they will be removed then from the list

Just take the next five people on the list (above), send PM's to them, and then post who you have invited so I can remove them from the list.

Edit: they don't need to have responded; just post to whom you have sent invitations.
