The newest waiting list. It seems to be very quiet on this thread right now. Are all of the donors asleep or something? ;) Anyway, for everybody on the list, you'll probably receive an account within the next several days; we have a lot of donors who have been very generous to fellow Neowinians.

aadhu just received an invite, so he can be taken off that one.

Done. Why does it seem like 20-odd people get invited while I'm asleep, but then the thread dies down completely as soon as I get up? Oh well, the list continues to grow...

You know, I'm worried that since I've removed all requirements, the list will be clogged with people registering simply to get an account. Should I reinstate some membership time requirements, so we don't get this? I've already gotten a few PM's from people who just joined today, looking to be added. I did, but I'm worried about the fairness of this practice. Should we make a new rule that says to join the queue, you have to have been a Neowin member for at least 3 months?

These 2 people need to pm me back for their invite, its been a few days now..

If they have an e-mail address, e-mail them with the invite. Some of them might not check their Neowin accounts very often. If you want, you can just give up on them and give your invites to the next people on the list if, say, they don't respond within the next 12 hours.

I'd say that 1 month is enough...

Btw, those who already have gmail, can you access it right now or is it just we new people that can't? I've been getting the server load message since I got the invite, several hours.

I've been able to access my Gmail account all day today, with no problems.

I've had no problems logging on. Also, for everybody who wants an invite, you must now have been a member of Neowin for 2 months!!! before you can join the queue. So, you cannot get an account on Neowin solely for the purpose of joining the queue, sorry.

Good idea, just sent an e-mail out to them..

And gmail seems to be loading just fine for me.
