[DEFINITIVE] Gmail queue !

Recommended Posts

a few days. 2-3 I heard, I have yet to get mine.

Maybe a short faq schould be added to the list so people don't have to aske the same questions again :) Not everybody will read them ofcourse. But it might help though

It doesn't matter; it's a significant portion of the traffic on this thread, anyway ;) yes, I believe it can take up to a week, actually. I've had my account for almost 3 days, and I'm still waiting. Just be patient.

Damn I actually got close: i got a 1332 after like 80 refreshes.....

Hey, you're almost up for a Gmail invite; what are you doing trying to get one using that site :p Actually, I've been trying, too; I haven't gotten close, though; 30000 different possible numbers and a five-second refresh time means that it will take a LONG time to get 1337, on average.

how do you know where you are in the queue?

We post the list periodically. I haven't needed to update it lately, but here is the latest version of the list:

I know Im almost there, but still....If I can get Gmail a couple hours early by refreshing a lot, isn't it worth it? :woot:

Not if you spend those couple of hours refreshing your Internet browser ;) You'll probably get an invitation within an hour or two; as soon as another person comes with even three invites, you'll get one. Go on, do something more productive than refreshing your internet browser!

LOL, yea I could probably find something better to do. BTW, when I get my Gmail, will I be able to invite others right away?

No; you'll have to wait anywhere between 3 hours and a week (these are extremes) to get your invites. Most likely you will receive them within a day or two.

Why do I still not have any invites? I've had my account since mid-day on Tuesday, I believe, and nothing. Should I be sending a lot of e-mails from that account to speed the process? I'v heard some rumors that this helps in getting invites, but it makes no sense. I've only sent about three, as I have nobody to talk to during the summer via e-mail. Why, oh why, am I not getting invites? Am I just being too impatient?

Random I guess.

Maybe it gauges if your invitee's are using the email accounts heavily or not, and offers you invites accordingly?

Thats dEs0lAt0r sorted now also btw, and just trying to help out illz55 with a little confusion :)

Not sure, I got mine the next day, and since then everyday.. sometimes twice a day.

How much did you use the account? I'm wondering whether usage determines how soon you get invites to give to other people. By the way, my theory as to how often Google gives out invites is that Google is simply stress-testing their servers, and so when they feel confident that they can sustain a certain number of accounts, they give out a few more invites to increase server load, and so on. So, because I have little to no impact on server load, is it possible that they are overlooking me when giving out invites?

Before I got the invite for the first time I probably only sent 2 e-mails and received 1.. I don't think that would qualify as a lot of usage ;)

But try sending some out, and see if that helps.

Also, aren't ads supposed to appear on the bottom of the e-mail? So far, none of the e-mails I've sent have had any ads, which is nice. Has Google temporarily pulled them because of criticism, or is it not using them because the beta testing is so limited right now?

    • You pay just $100 per TB with this rare 4TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD deal by Sayan Sen SSDs and GPUs are incredibly hard to get nowadays due to high pricing. Discounts are quite rare which is why we report on them as soon as we spot a good deal. For example AMD's new 9070 GRE was finally up for sale at a very good price of just $500 thanks to a special coupon. Sadly that deal is gone but if you happen to be looking for a 4TB NVMe SSD and can spend around $400 there is a really good offer on sale that you should not miss out on as TeamGroup's 4TB G50 model is on sale for that that price which means you are only paying $100 per TB, a very good deal in the current market (purchase link under the specs table down below). The TeamGroup T-FORCE G50 NVMe SSD is a PCIe Gen4 drive and as such it promises to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s, helping accelerate game loading, file transfers, and everyday computing tasks. Since this is a 4TB drive you can use it for a gaming library to take advantage of things like DirectStorage. The SSD features an InnoGrit controller and SLC caching technology to support consistent performance. An ultra-thin, patented graphene heatsink is included to aid in heat dissipation. Get it at the link below: Team Group T-FORCE G50 4TB Internal SSD (TM8FFE004T0C129): $449.99 + $50 off w/ promo code SSF69668, limited offer => $39.99 (Sold and Shipped by Newegg US) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified. • I agree. I also think Phil stayed too long. They should definitely fire whoever thought all a console platform needed was Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout to survive. Asha and crew are still saying they need more Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. They simply don't get it.
    • Macbook Air is an appealing option, as are plethora of Windows devices with various different CPU's
